Welcome to the exhibition “Contract of Fiction” – insights into the diversity of digital art

“Contract of Fiction” (CoF) is a neologism that Jean-Michel Basquiat and Helmut C. Diez created on June 25, 1988, on Black Sand Beach on Maui.

It stands for the joint plan to establish a network of experienced artists to curate and promote young artists worldwide.

Since 2021, Helmut C. Diez has formed a group of nearly 100 artists from all continents and disciplines of art, whose intention it is to also create a metaverse as a virtual museum/gallery that offers art lovers and artists the best visual and operational opportunities to engage with each other in all possible virtual forms. However, the current technical possibilities of metaverses do not yet offer the qualities to fulfill the visual-aesthetic requirements in particular.

The community is very grateful that an agreement has been reached with the P61 gallery in Berlin-Schöneberg to present up to 50 artists from November 28th until the end of the year. The exhibition showcases a wide variety of topics, personal styles and a wide range of creative tools used.

The selection of works is intended to give art lovers and families with children a fun insight into the diversity of digital art today.
